Warts More Condition_treatment Does My Horse Have Warts Or Something More Serious?

Does my horse have warts or something more serious? - warts more condition_treatment

My mini horse, which is about 2, which began with a pink bump on the nose, then it is up to the side of his nose to spread, in guessing there are about 10 (plus or minus a few) now. In asking whether you have warts, that the existence itself? Or is it something more serious like cancer?

Many young horses are "warts", so I think a mini make no difference. To clean, use a% 80 / 20% mixture of bacon grease and iodine. Painting on the nose, and they must leave within a week. I have this old recipe from a girl named Flo Largent in '74, when my AQHA mare with them.

Warts are more likely, and resolve by themselves. In fact, it is better to leave them alone and they can. No treatment can ensure they do not cause permanent pigmentation or scars, and finally, so that no scars on his own, and let your mini-immune system to them in the future. The state is possible with a sunburn, dermatitis, so be sure to use sunscreen or long-nosed mask, as Cashel sunburn in their pink skin to prevent it. There is no reason for concern about the spread to other horses. Adults are usually immune to the horses and young horses must now by a steep to develop immunity, as will the young.

In the ideal age to warts. There are drugs, but it is best left alone. Among the treatments, crushing or burning chemically with tweezers .. Let go and he will be spared. I do not do anything with me, I will not do any harm to my horse, pretty for a little while! It will disappear on their own and do not harm them. So make sure not to hit the halter / rope, etc., and tearing. It is not uncommon for horses to get them.

They look like this?

I think it's something you should call your veterinarian. If you believe that something is wrong, and nobody knows what is or up or down, call the vet and at least ask.

More than likely, warts .. leave them alone. If you are now with them, but they can prevent the virus .. If you let them go their own way, the horse will be immune.

You should call your vet if you can use other horses, and warts have spread!
